This gel is formulated to alleviate pain from mouth ulcers and discomfort caused by dentures. The active ingredient, benzocaine at a concentration of 10% w/w, acts as a local anaesthetic, providing quick numbing relief directly at the site of pain.
Active Ingredient: Benzocaine 10% w/w.
Other Ingredients: Polyethylene Glycol 400, Polyethylene Glycol 3350, Sorbic Acid.
Ensure hands are clean before application.
Remove the cap and cut open the tip of the tube.
With a clean finger, apply a small amount of gel (about the size of a green pea) to the affected area inside the mouth.
Use up to four times daily, but not for more than four consecutive days.
Avoid consuming hot drinks while using the gel.
Adults and children aged 12 years and over.
Do not use if you have had an allergic reaction to benzocaine or any of the gel's ingredients.
Not suitable for children under 12 years of age.
Avoid use if you have been advised that you have difficulty converting methaemoglobin to haemoglobin.
Do not use if you are taking sulphonamide antibiotics, as benzocaine may interfere with their effectiveness.
If pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a healthcare professional before use.
Discontinue use and seek medical attention if you experience an allergic reaction, such as burning, stinging, itching, redness, rash, or swelling.
